VDRL (Venereal Disease Research Laboratory) is a screening test for syphilis that detects antibodies related to the infection. HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) testing identifies herpes infections, commonly causing oral or genital sores. TPHA (Treponema Pallidum Hemagglutination Assay) is a confirmatory test for syphilis, used to verify VDRL results.
